The hourly rate varies according to location. There is generally a 25 - 40% employee discount. Also keep in mind that the holiday season is around the corner, you will be looking at a lot of over time opportunities.

Washington would probably pay the most, the minimum wage there is the highest in the country. I believe it is 7.63. To the person who said Texas would pay well, the minimum wage in TX is still 5.15. I never put an amount when I apply for a job, I leave in blank or put nego for negotiable. I have them offer me the dollar amount and if I don't like it I ask for more. It works, trust me.

That really depends on where you live. In my town in central Illinois, the usual starting pay ranges from 6.50 to about 7.50. I work at Sam's Club and started out at 8.00 3 years ago. I now make 11. But it really depends on your location. If you live in California, or Texas, I'd assume it'd be higher than that.
