I was thinking about adding a frontlight to my old GameBoy Pocket (using either LEDs or an OLED). Does anyone know how i would/could go about doing this. I want the ability to play my GameBoy pocket in any lighting condition. The GBA SP is alright for this purpose, though the LCD screen is too big for the original game's aspect ratio, and the color schemes it gives to original games aren't all that great.

I know about all the light accessories and about changing the aspect ratio on a GBA, I jsut really want to preserve the feel and nostalgia of playing on my GBP. The external lights don't work very well so I do not plan on using one.

press the L or R buttons to adjust the screen size on your GBA SP.

This will change the screen from widescreen to normal screen without stuffing around with your gbp

Try going to one of those used game stores. They usually have a lot of older games/equipment. You might be able to find a GameBoy pocket and accessories there.
