winning over a japanese girl?

there is the most adorable japanese exchange student in my class and i want her so bad! i dont know what to say to her. is there something i could say or give to her that indirectly tells her that i like her?

You're kidding, right? Look, girls are girls are girls. They can be very fickle... I would know. It doesn't matter if they're American, Japanese, or Peruvian. A good place to start is by introducing yourself and just say hi, and see where things go from there. Don't try to impress her right off the bat... girls pick up on that quicker than anything. It might flatter her, or it might drive her away. It's best not to take the chance unless you KNOW you'll get her attention that way (which it sounds like you have no idea what will). Just be a nice guy, and start up a normal conversation. You're in the same class, see if you can help her with her homework (or vice-versa). Just do what you can to try to relate to her and stay on her good side. Be her friend first, and see where things lead from there. This is a good general rule for all girls, not just your Japanese crush. As far as taking her culture into consideration, if she's very proud of her culture, then maybe you could ask her about it and see what you should do from there (as far as trying to impress her and all that).

Remember this: flirting is a good thing. It will let her know that you're interested in her without flat out telling her. But DON'T BE CREEPY. Know your boundaries. Don't flirt aimlessly and thoughtlessly. Think before you speak and before you act. For example, it might not be a good idea to come to school with a gift for her... while you might think it's thoughtful, it would probably be coming on a little strong. Take baby steps, and gauge her reaction to everything before you take things a little further. This is how relationships work, whether you're talking about telling your best friend your deepest secret, or getting your girlfriend to go down on you.

My last bit of advice: If she doesn't like you, let it go. There are other girls, perhaps not the adorable Japanese exchange student that you're wild about right now, but you'll find somebody. You can't make somebody like you, American or Japanese. But hey, nobody said that love was easy.

I would suggest developing a superior mating call and dance and performing it at a feverish pace infront of her and her closest friends. Or you could simple do nice, heartfelt things for her, get her flowers, maker her yummies, stuff like that. Just don't act super desperate, be patient and REMEMBER , even if you don't get her, there will always be someone better in the future.
