Yeah, at least some of them. Especially Hitler. He had to have been a pretty damn charismatic serial killer to incite that level of genocide.

They ruled people's hearts through their minds but i think the Beatles were in a different league since they forged their way in with a direct line to girl's hearts through their panties...

why d'you think they took them off and gave them 2 the band?
to improve the reception of course!!

i'm only playing. come to think of it now the Beatles are quite worthy of some considerable jealousy, i haven't really thought about it until just now!

I guess they all had groupies. Some people would have actually thought Hitler and the others had some great ideas and so revered them for that and shown genuine emotion. Others would have pretended for self preservation.
I think with the Beatles mania it may have been more like peer pressure. In order to fit in you would scream and tear at your hair because other's your age were doing the same. Likely the first wave of screaming girls were paid to do so in order to start the ball rolling. It is also a great release of all those hormones that teenagers are bombarded with.

Hysteria is a reaction not a cause an effect ... you choose how you react to anything- most of these examples were people going along with those around them and feeding into the frenzie that others emotional reactions were... Hiltler used fear to make people react how he wanted them to very different if you ask me

I don't think it was exactly the same thing. Mostly for the emotion these people were attempting to evoke. The beatles were envoking lust, that's what was making the girls crazy. The others you mentioned were just good at convincing people their ideas were right.

Ummmmm if they did, it was a totally different type of hysteria and for different reasons. Hitler put people in hysteria because they were all afraid of being killed by him.
