Legwarmers
Leggings
Big mens shirts with wide belts
big shoulder pads
off the shoulder sweatshirts
Colours: black and white, pastels, pink and grey
headbands
Stiletto shoes
Big baggy teeshirts
Stonewash denim (for a time)

I can't think of any links right now but Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan is a good guide. Also: Five Star; Bananarama; Duran Duran, Dynasty. Or I think you might be able to search the Vogue website.

Look at Joan Cusak in the movie Working Girl

LOL-- Afros and disco were the 70's dear! I think everyone else covered it well..... Here's a few more---Neon, leg warmers, off the shoulder ripped sweatshirts, tons of black rubber bracelets worn together or tons of "bangled" bracelets..... Big plastic bright colored chunky jewelry....... Socks layered over tights........Mini skirts with tights or leggings, light colored jean jackets adorned with tons of "pins"---(many of them rock groups.) Blue eyeshadow and light pink lipgloss. Big hair (not afro) --think aqua net hair spray and bad perms. Tie up your "big" hair with a scarf and tie a bow at the top a-la Maddonna in Desperately Seeking Susan.
