OK, here's the thing, for my algebra class i've gotta do tons of pages of math problems, but i kinda got stuck on a couple of them, I'd really apreciated if somebody could help me out with these and also put some of the steps, so i can understand how to do the prob's.
I'd really apreciated, THANKS. =D
1. 2(3a-5)-2a

2. -4(5m+2)+3

3. 2(3a-5)+2a

4. 2t(t-5t to the second power)+ (-5t to the 3 power)

5. 2t+(3+5t)(4)

6. 12s+(7-s)2

7. (5-2x)(-x)+x to the 2 power

8. 5x-2xd(x+7)

9. 2t to the 2 power +(3+5t)(4t)

Oh and one more question, is -2(3a-5)+2a
-6a+-10+2a
-4a+-10 ?
THANKS 4 DA HELP =D

All of these? That's sort of asking a lot!

I will do #1, then you do #2 and #3 as they are similar. To do 1, 2, 3 you use the distributive property then combine like terms:

2(3a-5) - 2a =

6a - 10 - 2a =

4a - 10

Now you do #2, #3

4-9 are again similar to each other, and similar to 1-3 in that you use the distributive property to multiply everything out, then you combine like terms.

I will do #4 for you, but you should do 5-9 yourself:

2t (t - 5t^2) - 5t^3 =

2t^2 - 10t^3 - 5t^3 =

2t^2 - 15t^3

Finally, for your last question -- you almost got it right. It's actually this:

-2(3a-5) + 2a =
-6a + 10 + 2a =
-4a + 10

By the way, one point about proper notation .... if you have plus a minus number, just write minus.

So, instead of: -4a+-10

just write: -4a-10

I'll do number 1. U basically use distributive property.
2(3a-5) - 2a
6a-10-2a (i multiplied 2 by 3a and 2 by 5)
4a-10 (i added 6a+ -2a or 6a-2a)
4a-10 is your answer

i'll just answer some, aight?

1. 2(3a-5)-2a = 0
6a - 10 - 2a = 0
4a = 10
4a/4 = 10/4
a = 2.5

2. -4(5m+2)+3
-20m - 8 + 3 = 0
-20m - 5 = 0
-20m/-20 = 5/-20
m = -1/4

3. 2(3a-5)+2a
6a - 10 + 2a = 0
8a = 10
8a/8 = 10/8
a = 1.25

2. -20m-5
3. 8a-10
4. t (to the second) (-5t+2)
5. 12+22t
6.10s+14
u do the rest

sorry, i can't help w/ all of them (or else what'll U learn??!!)

heres a few though... watch how it works...

2(3a-5)+2a
use distrabution: 2(3a)-2(5)+2a
multiply: 6a-10+2a
now add like terms: 6a+2a=8a
answer: 8a-10

got it?!

9. 2t to the 2 power +(3+5t)(4t)

2t^2+(3+5t) (4t)
I had this problem for homework too.

(2t)*(2t) = 4t^2

(3+5t) (4t) = 12t+20t^2

SO!
Group like terms (t^2)
(4t^2)+(20t^2) = 24t^2

And your answer (I think it's right, but I'm not very sure...)

24t^2 + 12t
