As stated, it has nothing to do with his family. It's all up to you, baby! Identical twins are not genetic. They are the least common type of twins and are basically biological anomalies (although they happen in most mammalian species). Fraternal twins are a lot more common than identical twins. If fraternal twins run in YOUR family, you may be predisposed to having twins yourself if you ovulate twice in a month (which may be a genetic predisposition).

The male does not carry the twin gene, sorry. It has to come from the mother's family and it skips a generation. My mother is a fraternal twin and her sister and her did not have twins so either myself, my sis, or my cousin will maybe have twins. The identical twin gene is not carried in the family, so there is a chance that you could have those. Good luck.

In my family, it is the males that carry the twinning gene. Every other generation for many, many generations. It is one of the males' daughters that has the twins. However, they have always been fraternal twins.
I am pregnant with twins. My father's mother had fraternal twins. Twins run on her father's family. And so on.
(the father of my twins, also has fraternal twins that run in his family)
I'm not sure of the exact statistics, but from what I have found, is that it normally does get carried in the male gene. There is no real rhyme or reason for identical twins.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the male, even if there is a history of twins on his side. It is your egg that splits in two for identical twins and for fraternal twins it is two eggs from you that end up getting fertilized. So, in other works, it is all up to you! Good luck!

No, because a man produces a ton of sperm. The female(if lucky) prodices one egg. The only way for twins to be fertilized is if the female ovulates multiples eggs and they both are fertilized.

Twins don't run on the male side, only the female side. Sorry!
