Scientists/Doctors say that a baby can in fact see light in the womb, only if it's a bright enough light...

There's studies that have been done where a Father would take a flashlight and press it to the Mother's stomach. From there he would begin moving it around her stomach and the baby would follow it with a series of kicks and punches. Babies can be interactive still while within the womb -- at a certain age.

From the time a child's retinas form and they are able to see, they can and do see light -- keep in mind however that the light DOES have to be fairly bright... and it certainly won't ever be bright enough to blind the baby.

yes! if you direct a beam of light towards your belly, the baby will want to turn away from the bright light. this has been proved through observation during ultrasound.
