The ringtone on my Razr v3 only rings for apx. 20 seconds, and I would like to know if it's possible to somehow mod it so that it can last longer.

I'm aware of MotoModders, HowardForums, and the other websites relating to the razr, please don't tell me to go to one of those sites unless* you have a specific link there that answers my question.

thanks.

I did this on my Verizon Wireless phone. It'd drop into voicemail sometimes if I was too slow getting to the ringing phone.

It takes a call to customer service to increase your ring time. They did it with no questions asked.

I think I increased mine to 30 seconds.

The length of your ringtone is determined by a couple things. First, if you are using a ringtone that came with your phone, you can alter the number of rings before your voicemail kicks in (generally around 5-6). If you are downloading ringtones from somewhere, the file type and size will determine the length. Go to http://www.phonesherpa.com and use your free credit for signing up to play around with their ringtone editor. The max length you can get is about 22-28 secs, and you can try it with any audio file on your computer.

Change your ringtone to something that's longer. It will allow you to preview it before you accept it. GL
