it depends upon who you ask and what good means to them and you.

in my opinion, Malcolm x did some good and a lot of bad. the bad would be that he taught blacks, especially (as a role model) that violence was a way to get problems solved. i think it has led to more problems in the long run.

alot of people are misinformed about Malcolm X because of the media and lack of research on his life, when you see him in the media the only thing that is televised are his earlier speeches when he was first joined the nation of islam under Elijah Mohamed who had a very distortive view of the Islamic religion, Malcom was only relating what he was taught, after his pilgramage to Mecca his views changed, because he realized that what he was taught was not the true islamic religion, after gaining this powerful knowlege he broke from Eliajh Mohamed to teach and preach the true message of Islam, which would have made him a more powerful leader and strong leader in the fight for equality, so yes he was good and at the time of his death willing to work with the other leaders such as Martin Luther King, but the media will never tell you that

That's an intresting question and depends how you define good. Yeah he helped the Black race some. In a sense he was needed as much as Martin Luther King Jr. You needed a leader who led each way. Alot will complain about how Malcolm X led and his comments. On the other hand if you think about what he was saying it is totally different. Maybe if the Blacks had EQUAL rights he wouldn't have been about violence. One of his more well known comments was about the Bullet for the Ballot or the Bullet or the Ballot or however it was worded. Well if they HAD the ballot and been able to vote he wouldn't have been wanting to fight like that in that comment.
