As far as I know, you need to be certified as a teacher (e.g., a graduate of an accredited teacher's college) to teach in Ontario's public schools (elementary or high schools).

There ought to be some information you could use at the Web site maintained by the Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers (CASLT). Here, for example, is a link to the Ontario section of CASLT's "Becoming an FSL Teacher in Canada" page.

The LangCanada.ca site also looks helpful: try its "French as a Second Language" page (http://www.langcanada.ca/public/fsl-fls/index_e.php) and/or its "Teacher Education ESL and FSL" page (http://www.langcanada.ca/public/fsl-fls/teachers-enseignants_e.html).

Best of luck!
