Here are things that will help the most!
Keeping PC defragged, and running CCleaner (free from filehippo.com ) this utility really works fast i use it all day long.defragging every 4 hours works great also, really helps with speed.if done this often it takes about 2 minutes.if you have neglected
doing it. It will take awhile the 1st time. NEXT,
.you can increase your memory by..going to start button, settings, control panel, system, advance tab, performance, advance tab, virtual memory, change, make it 526kb or higher, click apply then ok. LAST: I use these setting for all games!
You need java for games, but not to open them,if you have microsoft VM. go to start button, settings,, control panel open internet options advance tab, scroll down to see if microsoft vm is there if so unclick the 2 java listed. Make sure JIT is checked, click apply then ok. close.this lets msn vm launch games. this will SPEED UP game loading time.if you don’t have msn VM,get it here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/ virtualserver/default.mspx

Since it is an online game, the lag may be your internet connection speed. However full a server is can also cause a problem. The only other thing it may be is that your pc is below or barely hits minimum requirements of the game. Here is the minimums for the game:
Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP
Intel® Pentium® III 800 Mhz or AMD Athlon⢠800 Mhz
512 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive *
4 GB Available HDD Space
NVIDIA® GeForce 2 Series, ATI® Radeon® 8500 or Intel® i865 Series Video Card 16-bit Sound Card
56k modem
DirectX® 9.0c
The big thing to check is how close your pc is to the minimum ram requirement. If your pc only has 512mb, then you really need more ram. You are trying to run windows, the game, plus other stuff that is running in the background (like the anti-virus program). All of it is using ram and the computer just doesn't have the memory to handle evrything smoothly.

i often have the same issue with world of warcraft...
first make sure all of your video settings in game are at the lowest setting
then, make sure u dont run the game with anything in the background
if this doesnt work, then buy a new grafics card (usually 100$) and put it in(id reccomend having an IT guy do it unless ur good w/ comps)
