as a research project, i was assigned the topic: Is cloning humans ethical?...as i looked into it, many scientists seemed to be ok with cloning animals, yet they felt that cloning humans was immoral. Why is that?

Most scientist don't want to clone humans (I don't want to either) because if people are cloned, then the clones would just be used for harvesting organs. (Ex. If all of a sudden you had a serious problem with your heart, then they would clone you, and your clone would only be brought up just for it's heart. Then they would kill your clone, take out it's heart, and transplant it to you). Just ask yourself this: Would you think if your purpose in life was to supply organs to another person?

Mostly, the idea of the soul just freaks people out.

Does a clone have an individual soul? Is it the "property" of the original to do with as they will? Can you sell a clone/ Can you use them for parts? etc., etc....
