I don't know if it was because of the hard water or something, but it is hard to drive at night.

Had a teacher who claimed that in a down pour driving a new car. He found he couldn't see thru the wind shield because of the wax the sales people had used to sell the car. Coke ate the wax off. No scrubbing. I've never tried it, of course I've never had wax on my wind shield either....

It is the wax that they spray on it at the end of the wash cycle. I have a dark brown pick up and I can't take it through a car wash for that same reason. The whole truck ends up looking like that. I had to use a kitchen green scrubber pad and vinegar to get it off of my windshield. Then I used a glass cleaner and dried it with paper towels.

When it's nice out, use white vinegar and a clean cloth and scrub the inside and outside of the windshield. If you still have spots, you may have a lot of pits from dirt, sand, and debris blown against the windshield.
If the windshield is clear after cleaning, use RainX or Mr. Clean windshield protectant on the outside.
Change your wiper blades too if you haven't done that for 6 months.

dont put coke products anywhere near your cars surface.
probably just a waxy product, use a good glass cleaner and if need be a fine steel wool pad on the windsheild only.

Try scrubbing the shield with a non-chlorinated soft scrub cleanser.
