Try telling that to the families of the 600,000 killed as a direct result of the Yankee war machine.

JustAsking, you're very right, democracy is definitely not easy, so stop bitching on about 9/11, deal with it and move on. After all the twin towers were a symbol of democracy, right??

I don't understand it, either. Anyone with any sense should know that we have done everything to help them achieve freedom and democracy, and of course we have done so out of the goodness of our hearts.
Now, it may be true that they have lost anywhere from 50,000 to 650,000 citizens due to the war, with more to come, but who said democracy was easy? I guess they are too dense to appreciate that being dead in a democracy is better than alive in an autocracy.
We just need to have Karen Hughes work harder to get across the message that they should be happy and thankful because of our gift to them of democracy.

You can't claim to be correct any more than your opponents.

Few said no to war because they forsaw this. Most said no to war because they always say no to war. These people are too weak to stand up for their beliefs.

Had we not signed up for WW1 and WW2, the world would be much worse off. Too bad we couldn't convince Europe to intervene not because they believed in it, but because it was the right thing to do. Divided world opinion is killing us!

Good question...could it be that the "democracy" we so forcibly shoved down their throat has been delivered with guns, bombings, civilian "collateral damage"-- weren't there some raping and pillaging? (okay, by just a couple deranged people with uniforms and guns) warrantless searches and seizures..not to mention other wonderful "democratic" things? It couldn't be that....
P.S.
I love sarcasm too!
