You would be surprised what actually goes on at the Salvation Army. It is what I would call a "crooked" organization. The volunteers pick over the items that are donated and half of it never makes it inside the actual thrift store. A few of my family members volunteered there for a while, and told me a lot of bad things about it. I'm sure this isn't true of all Salvation Armys, but it is certainly the case for the one in my town.

Really?? Isnt the Salvation Army a good thing. Sometimes they do take awhile to pick up your stuff but least there taking it.

i have. once i left a large bag outside for them the salvation army to pick up, but they never came by...

Not sure what you mean by "bad experience"

I bought new family room furniture, and wanted to donate my used furniture.

They wouldn't accept it, because there were a couple of small tears on the bottom side of one of the cushion.

I felt bad about it! It really wasn't all that bad! They made me feel icky.
