Very confused with my cycle!?

Question

I need some advice. I started my period on the 14th of Sept. I can't be entirely sure, but I would assume that I would have ovulated around the 1st of Oct. I can't track my temp using Fertility Friend because I suffer from a constant low-grade fever, so the stats are affected. My partner and I tried from the 20th to the 3rd to conceive. I was taking note of my cervical fluid and for most of that time it was creamy or very watery. Today I have noticed that my cervical fluid is very much like egg whites, which I have heard is a sign of ovulation. Is it possible that I could be ovulating this late in my cycle. Technically (unless I'm pregnant) I should be getting my period in the next couple of days. If not, that means my cycle could be more that 30 days. I suppose it can't hurt to have sex now until I get my period incase I'm ovulating late, but I just need some advice on what the cervical fluid might mean...and also what the longest a cycle can be...28, 29, 20, 31? Thanks!!!

I am sick of this site. You ask a genuine question, get bad ratings and stupid waste of time answers. Not everyone here is asking questions for the fun of it. Thanks to the decent people giving decent answers though...I think I'll go elsewhere for "answers" from now on.

Sorry you've had stupid answers--
I would say your cycle can be very long or short, just depending on you. I've taken classes in NFP--natural family planning--and have used the method a bit for my own "family planning" purposes and one thing I've heard said again and again is that if your cervical mucus looks a certain way, that you are supposed to take that as a fertile day and plan accordingly. Creamy or watery cervical mucus probably isn't "peak-type" mucus, but you are usually most fertile when it is crystal clear and can be stretched an inch or more between your fingers. That is "peak-type", so if you are seeing that now, I say go for it! Unless, however, you are already pregnant. I would say to keep trying to conceive on these days that you are seeing the peak-type cervical mucus, and then give it a couple of weeks after that, then if you don't start your period, go get yourself a pregnancy test, because you just might be! You might try buying an ovulation predictor. I bought the sticks, you pee on one and it tells you if you are ovulating or not. I never paid attention to cervical mucous and stuff. Worked pretty well, my cycle was so irregular I never knew when I ovulated. Good luck!

THAT WAS NOT MY ANSWER! "pimp69" is a guy I know personally and he came over to my house to use my computor. I of course let him and he was on for hours! When I went to talk to him he told me that he went on as me and asked questions and answered them. He also created his own and asked and answered.
