Mister......thanks for making my point! Women(like you) can be so jealous and nasty to other women, I just do not see that same type of behavior in men.

You can put your claws away now! Meow......

It's a classic case of gender bias, isn't it?
I don't get the deal of women being envious of competition, I mean what's up with that?
Like if a woman sees another who is better looking than her, they give the other these 'dagger' type looks, lol.
I guess men do have a bit of envy going on... except they channel it into a different way.

I don't necessarily believe that is just a women's thing.

I think, though, people who have overblown egos want to be No. 1 when it comes to everything in life. They want to be the smartest, the wealthiest, the best looking, the hardest working, and even the nicest (and a whole bunch of other things). They don't like it if someone show up with (or doing) something that they know puts them "under" the other person on the "score card".

Of course, insecurity can do the same thing; but I think it is more often those overblown egos that cause jealousy and envy.

I have read that female sexuality (at the biological hardwiring level) programs in competitiveness. It was said that in a barnyard if there is one different female chicken the others (who are all the same) will try to peck her to death. I believe when women do demonstrate jealousy/envy it could be because they have not developed intellectually beyond their biological hardwiring or else that biological hardwiring (involving their female sexuality) may be at a "hormone peak" (as with women in their 30's and 40's).

I think if you think about it, hormones "rage" (in girls) at adolescence/early teen years. If you think about it there is often quite a bit of jealousy/envy during those years. I have noticed, though, that in women over the age said to be "sexual peak" jealousy and envy may actually be more pronounced and even more aggressive than it is with teenagers.

Maybe its just that in their twenties young women aren't all that threatened about the looks of other women because that's the age when most young women are attractive; and maybe because young women in their twenties don't feel that they should have accomplished a certain level of "life all-set-ness" yet, they don't feel inadequate if they haven't reached the top of things yet. (Just something else to consider)

I suspect most normal, well adjusted, men are not impressed by this lack of self-control and lousy attitude toward other people.

So those are my guesses/comments..

As a woman who experiences jealousy herself from time to time, I find it the blame of being insecure entirely on the woman a little unjustified. We live in a society that glorifies "Girls Gone Wild" types and the perfect female form. We are made to feel inferior to media's projected ideals. Futhermore, I find many men like to provoke competition between women-I don't know how many times I seen and experienced it. Ultimately, we have to have control over our emotions, but the reasons for those emotions are not always petty and simple. And yes, men experience jealousy too, just more towards careers, the hot trophy girls and material objects.

Research shows: Men tend to be more upset about sexual infidelity they can see or verify.

Women can forgive a man having sex with someone else, but not another relationship.

So I guess it's easier to interpret every detail as a sign that a man has a bond to another woman, whether a few missing minutes in the day or an extra shirt the dry cleaner threw in by accident.

Men probably need harder evidence, no pun intended, that something is going on. See it to believe it.

i don't think some men realise it if they become jealous of another guy & they won't want to admit it to themselves let alone betray it to other people. girls can't not express it if they're jealous of anything. somehow it's perfectly fine for them to be jealous in public.

perhaps it's an evolutionary thing that the woman has more to loose (all that instinct-2-have-babies & be more attractive malarky!) maybe again it's the woeful lack of choice, i don't think women have as great a choice of men as men do of women but then again i'm a guy! i would think that wouldn't I? lol

Women get jealous of other women because they have insecurities...I have to put up with so much jealousy on a daily basis..it gets real stale quick.

One women to another...that is not classy of you to display a picture of your *** on the internet..have some respect for yourself.

It has to do with 'insecurity' if a woman has a husband/boy-
friend,fiance/lover, she does not like it when he is around
other women, esp.pretty ones. I thought it got better as women
grew older, but it doesn't'; I read about a women who beat
another women to death in a nursing home over some 'gent'
in his 90's!So, its all about 'insecurity and competition'
