Ok i have 3 questions from physics and i dont understand any of them. Could you please explain how to do it and give me the answer? I will give u best answer and my eternal gratitude!!! The questions are as follow:

1. A kid fires a slingshot pellet directly at a target that is far enough away to talk one-half-second to reach. How far below does the target hit? How high above should he aim? ( he is throwing a distance of 60meters standing on a platform 20meters high)...

2. The boy on the platform throws a ball a distance of 60 meters, as mentioned in number 1, at what speed is the ball thrown (in meters/second)?

3. A shiny new sports car sits in a parking lot of a car dealership. Above is a cargo plane flying horizontally at 50 m/s. At the exact moment the plane is 125 meters directly above the car, a heavy crate accidentaly falls from its cargo doors. Realative to the car, where will the crate hit? ( speed of gravity if needed can be rounded to 10m/s.)

1.) Since you're not concerned with horizontal distance, you only need 1 formula: d = vt + 1/2at^2.
Before the shot is fired, v = 0, so the equation becomes d = 1/2 at^2. a = 9.8 m/s^2 (gravity), so:
d = .5 * 9.8 * t^2
d = 4.9 (.5)^2 = 1.225 m. The pellet will have dropped 1.225m when it reaches the target.

2.) If the boy throws a ball 60 meters in .5 seconds, then v = d/t = 120 m/s.

3.) This combines the concepts in 1 and 2. After being dropped, imagine 2 things happening to the crate:
a.) it drops with an acceleration of 10 m/s^2
b.) it moves away from the car at 50 m/s

You already know the height, the velocity, and the acceleration. Using a, find the time, then plug the time into b to determine how far away from the car the crate lands.

a.) d = vt + 1/2 at^2. v = 0, so d = 1/2 at^2
125 = .5 * 10 * t^2
t^2 = 25
t = 5

b.) d = vt
d = 50 m/s * 5 s
d = 250 m away from the car (solution).

The Physics communicate board, as presently constituted, is so lots extra effective than the Astronomy and area communicate board. A&S has a tendency to be noticeably comfortable. a great sort of i. grade college homework, ii. hoaxes (2012 stuff), and iii. trolls finding for interest. even although homework help is demanding, a minimum of it extremely is extreme. you may known self-clear out to discover questions that furnish somewhat project and a questioner who's appreciative. there has been communicate among the aficionados of turning out to be a extreme Physics and Math communicate board. however the final consensus became that it may nonetheless be crammed with homework questions and unsolicited mail trolls, and Y!A would not be keen on the assumption by way of fact what Y!A needs is site visitors.
