Normal Birth: It is also called a natural childbirth. No incision necessary.
Cesarean Birth: Incision is made to take babies out. I had a Cesarean section. I am not a big fan of pain.
The c-section recovery was not that bad at all. I was also knocked out and then cut open, no needles for me...if you please... :-)
Hope this helps you...

In feel that I would rather have a normal birth cause your not in the hospital as long with a normal birth and If you have a cesarean you are in more pain and won't be able to get up right away.

A normal birth. A cesarean is surgery and it can leave you more open for infections. Doctors always like to go for a natural birth rather then a C-Section if they can help it.

A cesarean birth is only done if there is a problem for Mother and/or baby, if there is a major problem with giving normal birth!

I had 2 c-sections and honestly didn't have a problem with them at all. With my first baby I was in labor for somewhere around 18 hours and only dilated to 6cm so I was taken in for a c-section. With my second baby it was a planned c-section. I actually prefer a c-section since I have a problem picturing something so big coming out of something so small!! I have a high tolerance for pain so it was about a week after my surgery that I was pain free and walking around normally. Everybody is different though. Hoped this helped!!

A vaginal birth! Even though i broke my tailbone and had a 3 day epidural headache after my first, I would still rather give birth rather have surgery. A ceasaren section is MAJOR SURGERY! My c-secton sucked! The scar tissue adhered to the underlying muscles and cause severe pain! Plus my baby had to get all those nasty pain meds through my milk.
A c-section does not keep your vagina tighter either. Do your kegals to acheive that!
Waterbirth is my ideal, but my babies are stubborn;-(.

i have three boys all natural birth. i was able to get up right after delivery and never had pain(after delivery of course) with a cesarean you cut your muscles and tend to have a large scar...thus leading to a sagging tummy. you have to stay in the hospital longer and are in pain for 6 weeks...

I had both and a natural birth was better for my body, it healed faster and was much more rewarding, with the c-section i wasn't able to hold my daughter right away and then had to go to recovery for a couple of hours because the meds they gave me made me sick. With my natural I got to hold the baby right away and they all stayed with me in my room and they never left my side.

I dont know whats best but I had a c section. I went in for induction but things werent progessing so they had to do an emergency c section and I have to say I prefer it that way. I didnt have to go through the pain of pushing or having stiches down there.

It is usually best for a "normal" child birth, unless there are health concerns about doing so. You heal faster and are able to get back to normal sooner. But only you and your doctor can decide what is right for you.
