I've been really getting interested in beginning to invest some of my money to buy stocks, but i really don't know how or where to start... can anyone give me some background info on how to be succesful at buying stocks and making really good money out of it? I know there are now millions of website in which you can do it instead of doing it the old fashion way and calling the stock marketer and having them buy it for you. I kinda know the process in which it takes to buy and sell stocks, but if you explain it a litttle bit more thoroughly It would be appreciated and if u have any good websites in which you can start to buy stocks and all of that. Thanks

The last time tried that one there was a short stop and the loss was only $500.00 It could have been much worse. You need to know much more about investing in stocks before you actually get into it. The promises are always great, therefore get yourself into a course that will help you to make better decisions. There are Seminars you can attend, as well .And of course talk with the people you know and ask how their investments are doing.

Quite frankly, if you don't have good formal financial analysis training I would not recommend you buy any stocks.

I would recommend ETFs. (Exchange-Traded Funds) They are funds that trade just like stocks. The funds contains "baskets" of stocks. You can buy a fund that look like the S&P 500 or one that specializes in technology, foreign markets, financial sector etc...

Much much cheaper expenses than mutual funds, easier to trade, easy to diversify your whole portfolio which decreases the risk associated with just buying a handful of stocks.

Just my suggestion.
