The tests are designed to have an average score of 100. So yes, it's good. However the merits of IQ tests are argued.

An IQ score of 132 is very good, although it's the subscores that are far more interesting. Taking an online or home written test will not be totally viable as going through a trained tester (usually a psychologist) means you will be told exactly how good your score is and what it means for you.

Many people believe that EQ is far more important than IQ, and of course there is the thought that FQ (I think that's what it is) - financial quotient - is now just as important, given Generation Y's need for money.

There is a misconception that those with high IQs should be rich. "If you're so smart how come you're not swimming in money?" many ask. I have had that question asked of me (my IQ is 140, made up of differing subscores) but, quite simply, having a hgh IQ has nothing to do with how successful one is with money. I couldn't care less about making money.

Testing is only truly useful when required for entrance to a particular group or educational insitute. Parents often have their children tested in order to prove acceleration or extension is required and the school will only act if a high IQ score is presented to them. My own child has a high IQ but we were told we must have him tested if the school was going to help. They still didn't, really! So he is now at a school who cares little for scores and bases a child's educational needs on their performance and obvious inteligence that comes out in a natural environment.

RE:
How good is an iq score of 132?

An IQ score does not relate to your mental age unless you are a little kid. It is more accurate to say it is a measure of academic aptitude. A person with an IQ score of 132 is likely to figure something out in 4 minutes, what the average Joe figures out in 5. . . if both concentrate on just figuring out some sort of academic problem.

There are so many different influences on IQ, including affluence and diet, that scores have been known to fluctuate more than 45 points within the same person at different points in time. By that standard, you could regress to slightly slower than the average Joe as well.

But remember this is a very focused measure that can be disrupted by external factors having nothing to do with innate ability. I know a young man who could not figure out a math problem to save his life, but who could compose and play music by ear without ever having to study piano or read music. Truly a genius by a different standard.

An IQ score of 132 would fall within the "Very Superior" range and indicates that, intellectually, you're performing within the top two percent of the population when compared to your same aged peers.

It's a very good score but it really only illustrates your potential.
If you only work to 75% of your ability then you are "only" average, and people who know your potential may consider you to be a lazy slob when comparing you with someone of lower IQ but who tries harder.
It's interesting to know your own IQ level but unless put to good use it's worthless knowledge.

It's good. In fact, very good.

I had an IQ test once and came out at 138, mind you that was years ago before senility set in. lol.
