The first time you even dared to think about it was the very first time that you cheated on your husband. and yes, no matter how many times after that....you are still an adultress.

Um, sweetie just once is considered cheating. You should communicate with your husband on what the problem is and why you feel you need to cheat. Get it all out in the open

technically, i agree with the others, ie once. BUT, its not always as simple as a number, there can be all kinds of other things to consider - does ur hubby not satisfy you sexually? are u just experimenting? do u have a medical almost reason to sleep with others (obsessed with sex/nymph) etc etc
IF you've slept with another man for any of the above reasons, then there's just a slight chance ur hubby would eventually forgive you for it. Mind you, if u were my wife, i sure would feel pissed off for a long long time.
