i think there is at least one (one report says two)... when walking on the moon, astronaut Alan Sheppard hit a golf ball that went 2,400 feet, nearly one-half a mile. In another report, he hit two balls just before lift-off, and drove them, as he put it, "miles and miles and miles".

None, because nobody has ever been there. Don't you think that if we did the moon almost 30 years ago, we'd have moved on a bit by now? Since then, we've achieved mobile phones the size of credit cards which you can watch live digital TV on, developed cutting edge keyhole surgery and medical imaging techniques, perfected the microchip, invented GPS handsets than can guide you anywhere on the planet but are still the size of a wristwatch, quantum PCs are around the corner, we can store 20,000 songs on a device that fits in a shirt pocket - but somehow, we haven't managed to develop AT ALL in the field of space exploration? Come on.... We never went. It's not possible now, and it certainly wasn't possible with 1960's technology.

None actually, b/c I believe that the golf ball that was hit off of the surface of the moon is actually in orbit around it!

Alan Shepard became the first man to hit a golfball on the Moon, using a ball and golf club head he had smuggled on board inside his space suit.
He hit two balls just before lift-off, and drove them, as he put it, "miles and miles and miles".

At first, I was going to say none. But come to think of it, some astronuts and scientist who study on the moon, may actually go out in their space suits, and play golf. That's a great question. I wish I knew the answer to it too. E-mail me the answer @ longlivetatu@yahoo.com, if u find out!

There are 3. Alan Shepard hit two and dropped one. He brought the three balls with him him so he could be the first golfer on the moon.

Thats one of the best questions Ive seen on here! and Ive absolutely no idea.
I would say one, assuming he only took or hit the one, I don't think it would go into orbit, or even if it did the orbit would decay after time.
The thing is, where abouts is it!
