I'd like to give her the name Bambi the middle name Fawn but would let her choose which one to use as the everyday name...what do you think?

Just imagine her as a 40 year old woman with those names! Can you imagine the types of jobs she might have where a name like Bambi might hold her back or not be taken seriously. Give her a name she can grown up with and be proud of. You can nic-name her Bambi...have it name that just her family calls her or something.

I have to agree that Bambi makes me think of a call girl or bimbo. Back in the 1980's there was a famous murder case that involved a female cop and the press called her Bambi which was her nickname. Then you might also remember the scandal ( I believe it was concerning presidential candidate Gary Hart) that involved a female named Fawn Hall. There are many wonderful, unusual and creative names out there, but Bambi and Fawn are not - please check out a baby name website or book!

Bambi? That name was given to a fugitive years ago! An ex female cop or still was a cop was on the run for something!

Pick another name! Its like you are calling her Bimbo!

Bambi was a boys name in the Disney movie anyways!

Don't go with Flora thats even stupider.

Dawn sounds a whole lot better!
Robyn is another nature name.
Think harder! You won't regret it!

I don't think Bambi is a good name for a baby. First, Bambi was a boy deer, and secondly it sounds like a really stupid girl with loose morals. Fawn is sweet, but not Bambi. If you love your child, don't saddle her with that name!

Honest opinion? It's a great name...for a stripper or cross-dressing male.

Re-think it. Your daughter will thank you.

Plus, Bambi Fawn just sounds funny together.

how did bambi become a female name when it originated as a male fawn?
I've never understood that. Going by today's age I wouldn't call her that unless you want her to become a stripper or something close to it.

Unless you and and your family are millionaires, and live in Beverly Hills, Don't name that child Bambi Fawn! The child will grow up to hate you for it! And if you do anyway, I hope that child legally changes it as soon as she can.

I have to say that it may be a bit much, but on the other hand it's not like kids are going to know her middle name. Just be sure to register her in school under her middle name if that's the one she chooses.
