I have 2 computers and want to have both screens on the same monitor - at the same time. Is this possible? I currently have a kvm and am tired of switching. Thanks.

Another possible solution is to install VNC. It allows you to remotely connect, view and interact with your other computer. You would need to install the server on the computer not connected to your monitor, mouse, and keyboard, and the client software on your main PC.

You will want to make sure you only allow connection to the VNC server from your main PC to keep filthy doritos-encrusted hackers off of the machine.

Hi,

currently, the kvm switch is the only way. There are automatic kvm switches that you can press a hotkey on the keyboard and it will switch automatically to the other computer.

Some monitors have dual outputs.. And have a button on the monitor to switch feed to the other output. Its a built in switch.

But there is no other way making 2 computers in 1 single monitor withought a kvm switch if your monitor supports 1 output connector

KVM is easy, but you could do a remote desktop thing... If you had a Mac, Apple's Remote Desktop would be great for this. Maybe you could use XP's built-in desktop sharing for this purpose? It's crude, I know, but it may work. Maybe GoToMyPC.com?

P.S. - Again, Cuite, stop answering questions. She's trying to connect two computers to one monitor, not two monitors to one computer! Get a brain!
