I have. I actually saw a ghost of a young lady who was searching for her baby. At first, I thought it was my imagination and then I asked the owner of the house about the past resident and she said a young woman in that house got murdered and so was her baby! I freaked and I ran like a scary mary.

I also saw a ghost of another female in White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas when I was driving in that vicinity. She was wandering in a long white gown by the lake. It didn't dawn on me till she disappeared.

I have been to several, but the one that fascinates me the most is my mother's house. It is 200 years old and until my parents bought it, it belonged only to Amish families. The Amish die in their houses and hold funerals in their houses. Some 50 people have died in my mother's house over the past 200 years. One night I was sitting at her kitchen table talking with her, and a spoon from the counter went flying across the room. Another night we were in her backyard having a bon fire. All of the lights in the house except the kitchen light were off. While by the fire, we watched the house as every light (including the attic light) came on for about a minute, and then went off again. I have many more first hand experiences in that house with ghosts, but not enough time nor space to share them all.

Yes.

I stayed in an old building that was described as ancient in a survey written in the 1600's.
There are supposed to be 4 'well documented' spirits' in this house.
On the first night, my imagination played tricks on me.

Maybe it was the alcohol or the spliffs but I was expecting something to happen.
Nothing happened!

I stayed many times over a period of 6 months or so.
Sober and otherwise.
Nothing happened!

After that first evening nothing felt strange anymore.
so I came to a conclusion.

1. All the ghosts were there if I wanted to believe they were there.
2. the ghosts are there but I refuse to see them.

Here's is the interesting bit.
If I was wandering through a shopping mall, Any thing that 'happens' is,,,,,,,,,,,,, 'one of those things"

If I was creeping around a haunted house, anything that 'happens' is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,'supernatural'

Even for a 'rational' person, as I believe myself to be, it is quite easy to talk one'self into a fantasy situation.

So I go for answer no.1

During my first marriage my father in law died. Several things happened that were 'freaky' after that. Once, a box of tissue lifted off the back of the sofa and sat down on the sofa. They didn't fall. It sent me and my 6'2" bro in law running out the front door with the creeps.

One night my sister in law locked the front door and went into the kitchen with her mom. A few minutes later her cousin came in the kitchen and they asked how she got in, that the door was locked and the chain was on the door, too. The cousin said that the door was standing wide open, but there was no one else in the house other than a baby in a crib.

My mother in law said that she heard something in the kitchen one night and went in to find food on the table and the fridge door standing open. She said that she knew it was her hubby because he used to get up in the middle of the night and eat and not put the food back or close the door. (Don't ask me why.)

I was watching my hubby mow his mom's lawn and looked up and saw his dad's figure in the window and he waved at me. I waved back before I remembered that he was dead!

The final 'episode' happened as my mother in law dressed for bed. She heard a noise and turned around to see her husband standing by the chest of drawers. He told her not to be afraid and not to be so sad all the time, that things would be fine. He told her he loved her and disappeared. That was the last anyone saw of him.

I tell you this as fact - and I don't even believe in ghosts. I think it was a demon spirit - which I DO believe exist.

When I was 17 I went to visit my cousin. She and I had to stay in her grandmother's old villa up in the mountains. In the 1920's a young woman had killed herself in that house when her bf broke their engagement. The first night we were there we were sleeping together in this giant bed when we saw a thin girl in white walking out on the terrace. She vanished but she came back in about an hour. Then she vanished again. And we heard what sounded like someone crying. We told her grandmother and she said it was the girl who had committed suicide.

"chill"up the nape of my neck and there are 4 particular demons that i don't want to see again .2 are the same ones tha have followed me where ever i move to.

Mine, wodden house back at village, though i am now in the city.
I grew up there for 20 years and we are all used to it.
When i used to study late nite you can feel someone pushing the chair next to your.
Since its wodden house, pretty obvious when someone walks, so you can tell when someone walking from far,,,,till the footsteps reach my chair...i just close my book and run to bed.
Funny when i think now though. My sister experienced the same. But we whole family been there for 40 years and none of us feel that as a harm. It does not happen all the time.
Well there are always spirits everywhere sorrounding us. But no harm made.
