Egg Drop Apparatus?

I'm doing a physics project and I need some ideas on what would be a good material to surround the egg in. Our container cannot be bigger than 40 cm by 40 cm by 40 cm and it cannot weigh more than 2.0 pounds. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Anything that absorbs shock...so something like foam or packing material....bubblewrap, styrofoam, etc.

Chances are the egg will break, it's a very tricky project...but something used in packing has a good chance, afterall that's why it's used.
