if it's the computer that needs boost: buy more RAM(memory). If you R talking about internet connection speed:
1. switch to dsl...
2. if #1 is not a option, go to your provider's website and see if they provide 'PRO' or 'EXPRESS' or 'SUPER' service for a little more money...

Have you been running your disc cleanup and disc defragmenter? Those always speed up a computer. So does removing any programs you no longer use, and deleting cookies.

Also, a faster modem might help if the only thing you're worried about is internet connection speed.

do you have a registry cleaner? you can download one for free if you don't. but ,run the registry cleaner as often as you can,,it will delete any old files you have that is taking up space. spyware will also slow down the computer too,,all you need is 2-3 of them and its snail time so run your spyware once a day..it does not harm the computer to run these often....the registry cleaner is a must......

You can buy a static filter. I'm not sure exactly what they're called but I'm sure if you went to Best Buy of Radio Shack they could help you out.

you are looking for a "prox server". -- your local phone company should be able to help you. It wont make you as fast as dsl, but it will speed you up some. I used one called proxconn.com for a year before dsl came to my area

take any uneeded information off of your computer. Sometimes if you don't have a lot of memory on it that can slow it down.
