how do i repair an entry exit security door that will not release when activated by tenant?

ADJUST THE BUZZER... IF ALL OTHER TENANTS'S BUZZERS WORK OK
I WOULD SUSPECT KNICKED WIRES - VOLTAGE DROP!

it sounds like the door might have a electric strike. these are operated by a key pad on the wall. if you have one of these the fuse could be burned out or the selionoid at the strike might be bad. the fuse is usually located in the ceiling at the control panel, if the ceiling is tile. if not the panel migt be in a closet near the door. it might be best to call your alarm company to come check it out to make sure it isnt a power problem
