I take a dance class 3 times a week a singing class 4 times a week and an acting class once a week, but chances around here are limited and even if I had a chance there is no way my folks would let me. Seems impossible but what can I do?

Hi Nenen,
You need to state your goal! Then go for that goal.

It's not in the question -- fame? Theater? Movies? Television?

You are taking classes, so it's time to perform.
Try out of the local community theater or a show in your school.

If you are trying to "make it", then start by getting your face out there.
a) do local commercials
b) intern at the television station
c) join the local "readers theater" group and learn 'art making lingo.
d) document everything you do.
e) get any work you can -- perform at weddings, dance in church, work the old-age homes. Get experience!

Your folks might agree to summer camp for performers, consider that.

And start acting like a professional when you are on the job. Get some business cards, network, meet everyone.

Good luck.

You have to wait until you are old enough to move to a city where you can pursue acting.

There is probably a theatre somewhere in the city where you live, ask your acting and dance teachers for suggestions.

well i was like that when i was younger but i lived in mississippi and there wasn't any opportunities there so now i live in colorado and a lot more is opening up for me. you just have to find an agency to represent you and as far as your parents go as long as it doesn't take away from school convince them you can atleast try things on weekends.

Keep up the great work! it sounds like you would make a great actress! Just keep practicing and talk with your parents and ask them if you could try a play if one came up. if not, then just keep working hard and wait for your big day!
