You can't earn your way to Paradise. Nobody is that good of a person.

That is a question? It sounds more like you are making a statement. Is your question then 'do you agree or disagree'?

I once read that life is a school that we are supposed to learn something from. If we graduate, we get to go to the next planet closer to the sun. If we flunk, we have to be reborn onto this one and repeat the grade. The planet next closer to the sun is the 'heaven' of the one before it, but it is also the next school, or the next grade. We finally graduate to the Sun itself. (Now that sounds more like Hell really, but Venus and Mercury also seem pretty hellish, so this whole school idea is probably just a bunch of hooey anyways!) Earth would probably seem like a real Paradise compared to any of those places! Well, that is something I read when I was about 15, in some sort of New Age book. At the time, it appealed to me more than any of the orthodox churches. BTW, conditions on those planets, and the sun, were supposed to be a lot nicer than our scientists tell us they are, lol.

Life is only harsh and cruel if you perceive it to be. Wouldn't it suck if you went through life thinking it was all a test for something else only to find out that that was all there is? You only get to go around once. Make the most of it. Perception is reality.

That belongs to the religious section, my dear!

And that's why Karl Marx said "Religion is the opium of the people" (sorry, don't know the English proper translation). That's what the people who were in power, who had all the money, who lived a life of luxury, told their people so that they would just do whatever they were told to do. Work hard, my dear slaves, and you'll get your reward in the after-life!

PS: I'm an atheist; but what I've just said doesn't actually imply that there is no life after death. I'm just criticizing religion when it is used as political tool.

Something like that, Jorge. Worthiness is another thing. I think you know about that. And a certain book that talks about it authoritatively. Why don't you put the computer aside and stop talking to all us booger heads out here and listen to the book. Betcha five dollars if you hook in you'll never let go.

Something like that, but not quite. We're all worthy for paradise, and it can be obtained while still living. The test is do you know you're worthy? When you're ready, the Master will appear and show you the way. Would you like an introduction to the Master? If so, please feel free to E-mail me.

That paradise fairy tale bull-crap is the reason why people don't wake up and understand that there is no paradise, no heaven, no hell ...kid this is all there is to it.

Thinking there's something else after it just makes us not really care about here and now.

Please star questioning yourself ...¿ What kind of loving creator needs to test people like this in order to let them into his V.I.P. list ?

Just relax and enjoy as best you can. All we can do is live our own lives. Learn to manage your money, invest wisely for our futures because no one is going to be there for us. Definately try to do as much annoymous good as you can but know you can't save everyone all the time. Learn to appreciate and live life for itself before you look back and realize on what you missed worrying about all the bad things you couldn't change anyway. Peace and good luck!

that's not a question, but your opinion is significant. although i have no idea what 'paradise' or 'heaven' is, or if it indeed exists, but if we have to go through life taking all these 'tests' just to get there, then i want the Cliff's Notes... i'm so TIRED of all these tests!

That's a pretty narrow philosophy if it's supposed to be the meaning of life. Work a little harder and take notes on your journey. You'll get it sooner or later.
