What is the proper way to turn off your PS2, since they don't have a "Shut Down" button like computers do. And also how can I see and/or delete files that are on the memory card? Thanx a lot, and if there are other small things I should know about PS2 please let me know!

turn off by holding the power on button until it turns red or the tv goes black/blue

See memory card data: don't put a disk in, turn on the ps2, go to one of the 2 options, if you see a picture of a memory card, select it, then it will show you the data on the card

The proper way to shut down the PlayStation 2 is by pressing the reset button then the off button on the back.

P.S. I got 10 PS2

Hold the green button down for six seconds and let go that turns it off. Deleting memory in the begining click x and go in to the memory card thing and remove the files you do not want

If you hold the reset it will eventually shut down into a standby mode. To actually turn it off you would have to flip the power switch, although it comes back on in stand by. The first answerer gave you the proper explaination I just wanted to clarify the SHUT OFF as oppose to STAND BY. Now can't do anything with it being in Stand by but as I said it isn't technically off either.
