Anyone here who has had a spinal tap can you please tell me how you dealt with the lower back pain and the headaches? I cant even lay down because it is so uncomfortable. So lets talk... I am in alot of pain... what helped you guys?

I've never had that done but I seriously feel for you. The words "spinal tap" SOUND painful. Let your doctor know and see if he/she can prescribe a stronger pain medication. Hope you feel better.

I haven't had this done myself, but during my training I've seen it done.

Your doctor should have prescribed some kind of painkillers for you? If this doesn't ease the pain, or you were not given any, I suggest you go see your doctor.

Headache: This can occur because of continued leaking at the site where the fluid was taken. If this occurs, you may want to give yourself acetaminophen or another non-aspirin type of pain reliever. If the headache persists for more than 2 days, call your doctor.

So yeah, definately go see your Doctor.

I had on e even as i develop into pregnant. they're extremely painful and uncomfortable. I've never had this done, but it sounds painful. Did they not give you any pain meds? Call you doctor to see what you can take to relieve your discomfort. Hope you feel better soon!

I had one some years ago. I was flat on my back for two weeks after. Every time I sat up, it felt like the top of my head was going to explode... AND nothing helped!! I tried everything from ice packs to Darvon... Nothing but time helped!!

if it hasn't stopped call the MD or local ER to ask advice.
i had one and no pain .
i wouldnt wait.
