Rent a steam cleaner or borrow one/use your own if you have it. Get some Lysol and some laundry soap and use that as your soap solution and when all dry, spray with febreeze. :) I had a baby who slept in my bed for a bit and there were milk stains all over the place. :)

There's actually a really old revenge prank that correlates with this.
It's been rumored that if you put powdered milk under the sheets of a person in the hot days - when they sweat, they will smell like sour milk & make the mattress smell like sour milk too. Although the smell will eventually come out of the person, it won't ever come out of the mattress.
You can try a power steamer, but my guess is that it'll make it worse. You probably will have to buy a new mattress. If you can't afford a new mattress - just get one of those plastic covers that goes all the way around the mattress & zips up on the sides, it'll conceal the smell for awhile.

Try 409 to get the stain out. Then either try Lysol (they have different scents now) or Febreeze. If you are able to put the mattress outside in the sun for awhile, that will help. Otherwise you may have to bite the bullet and get a new mattress.

the milk is probably inside your mattress, and there is no way to get the smell out, you have to buy a new mattress.

Shampoo your mattress with the carpet cleaning machine. You need to use the furniture cleaning attachment.

You should buy a bissell little green upolstery/carpet cleaner. I have one and it is awesome. It got red paint and pet stains out of my carpet and I've used it for stains on furniture. It gets the smells out too. They go for about $60-70 at walmart.

Personally, I would throw it away, and stop drinking milk in bed.
