The way Al Gore and crowd were screeching I expected half the coast line to be under water. Lets recap
1970 - we are causing global winter

2006 - same stuff but now they cause global warming and massive storms

answerman, I mock that fool every chance I get. When he finds a way to stop the sun, which BTW is the real cause of global warming, get back to me.

Kermit, feel free to get rid of your car and all the things made with fossil fuels. If you ever read all of Gore's books, you would ask a judge to lock him up.

I'm not sure whether I buy the global warming thing and the affect on our environment and weather. It has been shown that there is a cycle that our earth goes through between ice age and hotter climates.

However, I do wonder about one thing. The earth has been storing energy in different ways - oil, natural gas, coal, etc. - for millions of years. We are releasing that energy at an ever increasing rate year after year from our automobiles, power plants, and other ways we get and use our energy. All this stored energy is being released as heat - energy is conserved and never disappears - it just changes state.

WHERE IS ALL THAT HEAT GOING AND HOW IS IT CHANGING OUR ENVIRONMENT??????

Global warming? We have been looking for it here, and what we found today was snow in Troy and Detroit, with some sleet and slippery roads, traffic moving at 25 mph , this is October 12, 2006 we do not expect this in Oct. Perhaps, we are at the start of Global Cooling ?

Lets get one thing straight. Global warming is REAL and its NOT caused by humans. The earths core CONSTANTLY fluctuates and has done so since the beginning of time. Remember the Ice Ages? Did humans light enough fires using tires to break us out of that? LOL

Don't let these idiots try to scare you into believing we are the cause. They are only so concerned about global warming because republicans are not and its something they can claim as "theirs".

My only response is why do so many people want to deny that our pollution affects our environment??

What do you gain from being a naysayer. Does it make you feel secure at night to mock those who tell us we should be concerned. Does it interfere with your desire to drill for more fossil fuels??

Personally, I thank God we didn't have a severe hurricane season. But all one has to do is see what is happening to the Ice Caps to know something is happening.

But hey, it's not our problem....right!?!

Forecasters have a hard time predicting what the weather will be like 3 days from now. Why would I want to believe in a 100 year forecast.

Wow you sure have a short-term mindset. I suppose you take the temperature outside you house everyday and that tells you what the whole world will be like. For the next six months, at least. Great thinking O Wise One.

Personally I find global warming a big threat. I find those who are ignoring it a bigger threat.
Find out why the ice is melting--animals are dying (see web). How do you explain it? Or do we just ignore it until it affects us personally?

Go ahead and mock Al Gore, but remember he who laughs last laughs the hardest. Only if he is right you might not be alive to hear it.
