Because they want to find folks to agree with them in principal, not facts.
Not a bad thing, mind you. I would guess we all want someone, somewhere, to agree with our own way of thinking.

I think many people simply don't know where to find some answers on the Internet. Others (like me!), tend to get frustrated trying to find the right answer in the midst of thousands of web pages to browse through. And one other thing, sometimes you can't figure out just the right thing to type into the search box to get the right kind of results.

Mostly because they're bored and tooling around the Answers site anyway. Sure you could look up the correct answer in a heartbeat, but sometimes its more fun to watch other people try.

I thought the same myself at first, then realised maybe some people would rather a human answer with some reasoning and logic than the idea of checking sites.....
Who knows why????

Because sometimes it is interesting to hear people's answers. Why do people ask irrelevent questions?, is what I want to know.

because they want to read a personal opinion of another person, sometimes the search engines don't give you all the info.
