What graphic novels do you and your friends enjoy? I am particularly interested in learning about teen-oriented GNs, but would like to hear any opinions. I'm a library assistant and I'm trying to build up our collection. Any info on what you like/what titles are popular would be much appreciated!

Wow, thanks to so many people for answering! I enjoyed a Tarot Cafe manga I read recently. I am learning a lot about them, but it takes some time. I appreciate getting opinions directly from fans.

I like reaing Queen Bee (not manga) Graphic Novels! They're good. Chynna Clugston makes lots of them. I also like reading "DNAngel", "Shaman King", and "Tokyo Mew Mew" (all are manga). But if you want to look up more about them, go here:

The Watchmen by Alan Moore - incredibly redefining of the whole superhero/comic genre. Very broad in scope and full of visions for a new kind of hero.
Arkham Asylum; Serious House on Serious Earth by Grant Morrison - a dreamlike journey into the minds of Batman's most demented enemies (Joker, Two-Face, The Mad Hatter, and more). It will give you an entirely new understanding of Batman. The art is amazing, especially when you think that it was done in the 1980's, before computers did all the special effects.
V for Vendetta by Alan Moore - much better and more detailed than the movie. The story is thick with beautiful complexity and rich with thought-provoking ideas for the future.

I would recommend THE WATCHMEN, written by Alan Moore, as well as V FOR VENDETTA.
Several of the Marvel and DC trade paperbacks are excellent reading, collecting together the issues of a storyline in one place. And they are an excellent way to "catch up" on a series or mini-series, like DC's INFINITY CRISIS or Marvel's AVENGERS FOREVER.
There's some good reading out there!
