Virginia (which at one time covered the state we know today as well as West Virginia, a portion of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and, I think, Michigan--quite a chunk of real estate) was so named in honor of Elizabeth I, also called The Virgin Queen because she never married.

Some of these are a bit of a stretch: Leena Eleni Eirena/Irina Ivie/Ivy Elena Evangeline (all of the letters come from the two names...) Genine (like Janine but not lol) Valerie Elin As for what works best as a middle for Eleanora I'd have to say Valerie.
