I have a long story- anyone who will bear with me, it is greatly appreciated.?
Please only serious answers.
I got my period when I had just turned 13. It was normal for about a year. Then, for seemingly no reason, it stopped. At that time, I think i was about 127 lbs, 5'7", and almost a C cup bra.
When my period stopped, I noticed my breasts shrank (over a period of about 6 mos, they shrank about 2 and a half inches).
I went on the pill, and got my period back about 8 or 9 months after i had first lost my period. But heres the twist. At that time, I was 14, I got severe anorexia, and plummeted to 86 lbs. Yet on the pill, i still got my period. Needless to say, when I went off, I didnt get it any more. My boobs were nonexistent.
Now, about 2 and a half years later, i am doing great, and am about 109 lbs. I still dont have my period, my boobs are TEENY, and wehn I go on the pill or patch i get hoorible sid effects (mood swings, bloatedness, bitchiness, cravings, etc.

ITs like really bad PMS.... constantly).
Has anyone had anything similar happen, or any advice?
My period went away for no reason (that we know of, i went to the OBGYN, she could find nothing wrong) and my blood test now are fine, except for low estrogen.
Thank you very much! :)
when I went to the obgyn, it was before i had lost any significant amount of weight.
i am 16, will be 17 in less than 1 month.
the Q is, any advice to get my body back on track, what i should do , my weight, any similar experiences or things i shuld be worried about because of no period and such? Its just a thing that is always on my mind.
Oh, and when my breasts shrank the first time, i lost the feeling in them for the most part. I jsut want to know if anyone knows ANYTHING about anything like this, anything at all. thank you.
I am not sexually active at this time.

Please my dear ... take yourself to your doctor and get real personal with her versus us here. No one can really tell you what is going on. I would feel much more comfortable if you saw a professional. Good luck!

It sounds like the problem might be your history of anorexia. If you continue to eat normally and perhaps gain a little more weight, you will probably settle out eventually. Since the Obgyn didn't find anything wrong, a few years of being at a normal weight will probably make a difference. Periods are irregular for almost any girl in her teens, so don't worry too much, but keep trying to stay healthy and visiting your doctor regularly so they can watch for any medical problems.

If you haven't been to your doctor in awhile, definitely go & see what he/she has to say.

Hmm.. I think that anorexia can have severe long lasting effects. I bet your breasts shrank because of your anorexia. What happens when you don't eat is this: your body goes into what i call 'starvation mode'. Anything you eat, your body stores it immediately so it can hang onto whatever nutrition it can get. So in regular people, when we gain weight, it goes to the breasts, too. But in you, your body is using all of the nutrition you get to keep your blood pumping and everything else. You may have lost your period because of all of the bodily changes.
My sister in law suffers from bulimia, and her system is all screwed up now.
My advice to you is to keep a steady intake of nutritional foods, and try to take a different pill. There are so many different types of pills and different levels of estrogen in \each one that can affect our moods, weight, etc. Talk to your doctor about it. I think it's better to have a period because it cleans out your system each month the way it is supposed to be.
Best of luck to you! Take care,

i think that you should be recommended to a specialist in gyn. they will be able to tell you so much. just make sure that you have health insurance. but ask to be recommended to a specialist and they will definitely get your body back on track. have same problem. i am 165lbs. period comes for a day then never comes back then it does and stays on for like a week or 2.

You sound underweight more than anything else, and that is more than likely going to be part of the problem.

Talk to a doctor. They'll have much better answers than any of us.
