check your thermostat and your hear hose valve.

If you smell anitfreeze in the cab when the heat is running, then maybe. Firstly I would do a flush/fill on the system, replace the thermostat, and then check for heat. If no heat start looking under the truck and in the passenger floor for wetness, you have a bad heater core, or just replace it anyway when you do the flush/fill

Was the coolin system very dirty. If so I would suspect the water pump impeller is rotted away therefore you have no coolant circulation.no heat and problaly will overheat. The only other thing I can think of is lots of trapped air in the system.

heater control valve or heater core.you might want to check out the water pump just to make sure also.

I would pull the thermostat out of the engine block and throw it in the trash. needs replaced.

You have a stuck thermostat,are eather it put in back wards.
