It's not that simple. Both curly and straight are dominant. Wavy is just in-between but not a passive gene.

Also I don't think it is true that a man's hair type is inherited from his mother. My brother has hair EXACTLY like my fathers: it changed color at the same time, it is the same texture. A good friend of mine, like many men, is balding just like his father at an early age.

I think straight hair is dominant because a lot more people have straight hair than wavy hair.

I didn't know this until a few years ago. The male gets his hair pattern from the mothers side of the family. Told by a hair doc.

Please! This is the "astronomy and space" section, and, as you can see from reading the answers, nobody here knows much about hair.

I believe it is wavy/curly. Also, brown eyes and brown hair dominate as well.

it all depends on what your relatives have..
if they all have straight and you end up wavy then it isn't hereditary..
