2)who wrote it? (you said you know)
3)what program is it used with?
4)no, they are not universal. the "symbols" could represent anything from characters to very large numbers, to programming code (assembly instructions).
5)WHY do you need to be able to read it? Does it really matter as long as it is needed for some software to run?
