I just moved to a new city and I also just came out not too long ago! I am 25 and ready to "mingle". I do not have any gay friends in my new town, so I am hesitant to go out to the clubs/bars by myself.....I don't drink anyway! I am not in school, so that is not an option. Anyone have any ideas for how I can meet some new people?

Maybe try looking to see if there is a Local theater/acting guild? Try looking in the local personals, not to necessarily to meet someone but they Do mention things like local popular coffee houses and other non-bar activities. Try checking out Damron , they usually have a list of local gay friendly activites.(Damron requires a membership but here's a trick, they will give you a list of names and addresses of local gay establishments for free, print em up and Google em).

Sometimes you have to tread on unfamiliar ground by yourself to make friends. In your case, I'd go for that. I mean, you have little to nothing to lose. As long as you're not an a$$hole to people, you'll be fine.

Get involved with your local PRIDE organization. That way you help out and get to meet lots of wonderful women.

well you just killed all ur options. u don't go to school or go out to bars, so umm let me think... get a myspace and hope that someone talks to u. i met lots of friends on there.
