What does it matter how it came out. It's true.

If it wasn't true, Foley wouldn't have resigned in about 2 seconds.

Worst case scenario - "The democrats controlled every aspect of the Foley thing blowing up in the press"

Who cares?

As long as it's true, who care's how it came out. Foley is the villain, not anyone who helped get it out to the media.

This is the failure in logic of that argument. It is based on the purely partisan concept of malicious news. News is news, you have to be in pretty deep to think anything otherwise.

If it's true, it's good we know it.

Well, two things....

1) The typical republican deflection comes into play here. Deflect attention from the real issue to the Democrats.

2) If the Dems had this info and sat on it for a several months, they are complicit in hiding a crime.

"If it's true, it's good we know it."

Okay. I'll buy that.

But the question that gets put to so many Republicans is "What did he know, when did he know it?" Well, that's the issue here.

See, we are not better off for finding out now than in April.

Are we worse off? Possibly. Possibly some other children were victimized in the meantime. At any rate, whoever chose to wait put children at risk.

So, the question is why they waited.

I think the most obvious reason is for political gain. It would appear that the plan was to damage some Republicans specifically and all of them generally. Clearly that's a partisan motive that could only be attributable to one party.

So, before we overlook that, we need to consider carefully just what we're overlooking. The Democrats put children at risk from a known danger in order to delay and influence the election for their own benefit. Democrat benefit, not benefit of the United States or its People. Just their party.

This amounts to an attempt to manipulate and subvert our elective process.

Now, if it were the first time, I'd probably figure it was just some misguided zealots, but it's not the first such attempt. You have the manufacture of the AWOL memo, and the deliberate misinformation about the USSC cases on the recounting of ballots, and the attempts in certain counties of Florida to fix ballots.

It can't be anything less than a Democrat policy to try to take power by any means fair or foul, including fraud or the timed release of information.

Yeah, it's good that we know the truth. That would include the truth about who sat on this information and why.

I dont, Foley stands for everything that I am against.

However, the trouble is that there is evidence to show that many liberals (as well as Republicans) knew about this while it was going on. Instead of waiting until election time, it should have been exposed immediatley by BOTH parties. They both screwed up on the Foley matter.

It really doesn't matter who exposed it....as long as it is exposed. What hacks me off the most is the Reps. covering it up and hiding it for all those years. How Foley made excuses for it from the min. he got caught. First it was "it was only once", then it was "I'm gay and an alcoholic", then it went to "I was abused as a child by my clergy". A pediphile is a pediphile - at least he isn't in that position any longer.
Now if the Dems were really as cunning as the Reps think - then they could have waited till the BIG elections in 08! Now that would have been something!

I have seen on CNN that the Republicans are blaming the Democrats for sandbagging and releasing info just before the election. If it can be proved certain people knew years ago and did nothing about it, then I think they should be removed from office or their job. Further, all the communication should be monitored. It's good enough for the American public to be tapped, it's good enough for the politicians.

I care not who called Mr. Foley out. If he was the awful person that it appears that he was -- good riddance. However, I do feel sorry for those of his staff and family who did not know the apparent facts and have been blindsided.

The repuglicans are spinning hard on this one, I really don't know how you blame the democrats for a repuglican being a pedophile. It is beyond me but I bet if you listened to Rush Limbaugh the answer would be there as he is the spin doctor, a bigger liar I have never known, unless it was the president.

I care. The RePUBICans made such a big deal out of Clinton's BJ. It's time for the shoe to be on the other foot.

This guy is a freaking pederast - it is time to shut him down. This is not a harmless fling between two consenting adults.
