For instance, Pop, Rock, Blues? I think he's more of a Bluesy (is that a word?) type singer. Although I must admit, I haven't really listened to much of his music except like two songs. I just heard his song Gravity on that t.v. show House, and had to download it. I love it! Anyway, for those of you that know more than the two songs he sings that I know, what category would you say his music falls?

I think his music has a jazzy - blues feel to it. Its also a little bit of pop. I think his music is its own category- thats wat makes John Mayer's music unique and special.

I personaly think of comfortable rock is like rock even with the undeniable fact that it doesnt have the SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!!!!! area that i understand and love and comfortable rock has a tendency to be approximately Love and stuff like that The Heavy steel lover ~Emerald

I'd put him as a pop/ blues singer. I LOVE JOHN MAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so unique.
