A cold is nothing to worry about but if she has the flu she needs to go to the doctor because if she's sick with the flu the infection could harm the baby. I am 15 weeks pregnant myself and had a really bad sore throat and found out I had strep throat. My doctor told me good thing I came to the doctor because strep is an infection. Infections are in your blood and your blood is going to the baby so it could have gotten my baby sick too. So if your wife is pregnant with the flu she really needs to see a doctor. I HOPE YOUR WIFE FEELS BETTER AND GOOD LUCK GETTING HER TO SEE A DOCTOR.

It is probablly more dangerous for her to take over the counter medication than for her to tough out the flu on her own. Over the counter medication often has stuff in it, such as alcohol. That being said, it is a good idea to take her to the doctor so that s/he can diagnois whether it is a cold or the flu and prescribe her antibiotic that will not harm the fetus, if necessary.

Fetuses are protected by a natural immunization that the womb provides.
The baby should be safe from colds and flus. Just be sure that your wife is drinking lots of fluids so she doesn't become dehydrated, because THAT could be bad for the baby.

Hey ,as long as you keep her well rested and hydrated she and the baby will be fine.Having the flu won't directly affect the baby, but if she is not drinking enough and getting the sleep she needs while shes sick it will affect your wife and that would not be good. She can take plain robitussin ,or plain tylenol 1000mg. I always chose to not take meds either fearing that it may damage my child, but she will be alright, just take care of her,in which i'm sure you will ,you seem very concerned and that is really great.

no the cold wont affect the baby. if she gets that bad where she wont eat or drink then i would take her to the doctors. or even if it turns into infection she will need a course of antibiotics, but no a cold wont harm your baby. the mother will dwindle away to nothing before the baby is harmed my gp told me that.

i do no longer see a thank you to decrease your losses with all this happening. possibly it rather is time which you would be able to ultimately come to a determination what your priorities are (to boot your babies) and what you prefer for your self out of existence. how are you going to be happy 5, 10 years from now? advantageous, you like your babies, yet you are able to no longer stay your total existence for them. you have have been given to stay it for your self, too. I purely had a feeling your spouse moving in to the cottage with you are able to desire to be a mistake. how are you able to such an significant determination in existence and understand you're making it for the right motives once you infrequently have any area or peace to your self? i've got self belief for you, yet i think of you rather need to tread heavily to offer your self with protection and to verify you do no longer do something now you will sense sorry approximately later on. conversing entirely for myself, i've got observed the cases I made judgements i've got regretted the main, have been the cases i did no longer pay attention to my gut instincts. i do no longer understand if that's appropriate to you or no longer, yet I purely desire you're making the determination which will make you the happiest interior the long-term. we've all heard the announcing, "existence is purely too short to spend it being unhappy or depressing." that's the reason i presumed i needed and mandatory a divorce, and sarcastically, that's an identical reason now i'm nonetheless with my husband and so desperate that it will artwork this time.

A cold wont be that bad but the flu is dangerous. It kills 36,000 people in the USA every year. If she's sick, go to the Doctor.

No honey I dont think so. I had the flu with my first child. It sure didnt hurt him. Give her plenty of soup. If she dont get better in a few days take her to the doc. You dont want her to dehydrate.
