How do I keep Racoons from ripping up the shingles on my mobile home's roof. I have this massive pecan tree, and the Racoons keep climbing down at night and messing with my trailer. One of these days Im gonna be starin up at night to a big hol ein the roof with a racoon coming down. Should I get a shotgun, coon dog, or hire Earl from the oil change place to do it? Y'all got any other solutions?

Earl will do it for free. If you let him eat them when he catches them. OR, cut down the tree.

Cut the lower limbs that are hanging over the roof -I assume that's how
they are getting there. Our problem here is with sqirrels jumping down from
the branches and then jumping back up after they are through.

Put out some fresh lemon peels they upset their tummy and won't come back to eat because they associate being sick with getting food in that area.

I vote shotgun. Maybe use bird shot so it hurts like hell. Killing them may not work. they'll be replacements.

Call wildlife Control Services and see if they can capture it and let it loose somewhere else.
