forget answer 1, just buy one £10 or under and get the cable for it, a couple of quid, any good shop will keep you right. 10 min job to fit it.

Most of the newer ones dont have a floppy drive, you;ll have to buy an external floppy drive

you cant open slots for floppy disks you will find there is a slot that you insert the floppy into on the front of the tower. there is a slit the size of the floppy put the disk into it.

You dont cos it wasn't built to have one !!!, buy an external floppy drive (USB connector) and use this, or buy a 'flash pen drive' and use this instead, looks like floppies are out !

depends on which one. many of them dont have a floppy insert so be careful...also they take those idiotic long green rails. dell has a habit of putting manufacturer specifc parts. best guess would be to google it cause dell are real...a...holes unless your the owner of THEIR record and have EXACT...documentation

It just slides in, the metal edge first, with the label upwards. There's a button to press to remove it. Don't attempt to remove it when the diskette light is on (the diskette is being written to), remove it when the light goes out.
