Well, at first I did not think so because of the quantity of units they are shipping before Christmas (2 million). But considering how the pre-orders turned out today for gamestop/ebworld, I think it just might. Even though there were more allotted units than the PS3 pre order, there will larger crowds for the wii and they sold just as fast.

Probably, but it'll be A LOT easier to get a Wii than it will a PS3 (due to a problem with production of blue laser diodes) since Nintendo will have several million available at launch.
